Peer Evaluations in the MOO

For Next Meeting:

  • Do other Peer Evaluation Paragraphs (same as before):

Read and comment on the anonymous papers that are e-mailed to you on Thursday afternoon. The result must be e-mailed to me before class time! This is because we are going to be looking at these during Friday's class for the peer reviews.

    1) Write one paragraph for each draft in which you summarize your comments about your peers' work (not the work itself). Be sure to mention at least three successful elements and at least three areas for improvement. It may help to take a look at the worksheet we'll be filling out during class to get things to think about.

    2) Paste each paragraph into the body of a single email, and send it to me before classtime on Friday. Please be sure to use the subject line "your last name: comments for peer review 1." You should label each of your paragraphs with the number of the draft you are reviewing. This is important to remember, as these are anonymous drafts, and the only way I know which one you are talking about is by the indentifying number.

These comments are designed to help you complete the peer review activity in ProNoun that we are doing in class. Obviously, this is considered an important element of the writing process, and you should treat it seriously. Remember that the author of the paper will be reading your feedback.
