The following essay was written in a response to a legal argument made by E. McDonagh. She is pro-choice, but still claims the fetus is a person. She then argues that abortion is illegal because the mother is defending herself against the person. Obviously this argument does not really work for either pro-choice or pro-life advocates. In this paper, I explain why.
