Objectives
In successfully completing this assignment, you will be able to:
- Develop Presentation Skills
- Evaluate Best Way to Sum-up an Argument for a Broad Audience
- Prepare a written handout and/or visual aide about your proposal topic to give the class. It should include any information necessary to give a good overview of your project. Any extra multimedia elements are welcome but not required. I must know by Monday, April 19 whether or not you need the computer lab.
- Give an oral summation of your project in no more than 10 minutes.
- Include a clear statement of your argument and a brief summary of why it is important
- Include specific supports and persuasive elements of paper in your talk
- You may use "I" in your oral presentation, but not in your written handout
Assignment Requirements
How well you meet these requirements determines your grade. The presentation must have:
- A well-prepared, clearly laid-out handout (no more than two pages) either physically or digitally
- A succinct, straightforward oral summation of your proposal
- An appropriate visual aide (if necessary)
