We got together in class to finalise our research and see which parts were needed to be worked on. Our next meeting will be on sunday to mesh together our parts and finalise the rough draft.

This week we worked on researching financial information in order to come up with estimates for the recommendation paper. I attended the meeting found the financial information from Blizzard. I also did this week’s write-ups as well. I spent approximately 3 hours researching information.

Today our group met at Stewart computer lab and finalized our paper and presentation slides. We added a cover page to the document and got our handout ready for the presentation at 4:30.

We worked together to revise the rough draft that was peer edited by the class. We found that adding more content that was needed while staying within the limitations of the 1800 word limit whic proved to be troublesome. The final draft was completed and we began working on our slides for the presentation.

After putting our research together we started to give our outline its shape by assimilating our parts together to create the rough draft.

The goal of the meeting was to get the outline pulled together and completed.

We worked together to put all three of our ideas together to form the outline that is due on Friday October 10.

This week I helped setup the gnatt chart and also proofread the memo. I'll be researching my topics for our group meeting on Thursday.

Topic Proposal : The danger of child pornography in second life.

There have been a handful of cases in which users in Second Life, a role playing game were found to have been creating or exchanging child pornography, which has led it to be a common target for media outlets. This includes both real-life photographs and virtual recreations of pornographic scenes involving children, which are illegal.

Although this problem could occur on any internet site which allowed material to be freely uploaded, it is much more difficult to deal with on Second Life because of its strong support for content crossover. The problem is compounded by the full customizability of Second Life avatars; it is easy to create an avatar which has the height and stature of an adult but appears child-like with regard to body development, or vice versa, and a person's belief regarding the age their avatar appears to be may not match the belief of other people.
