Noted some concerns and discontinuity between parts written by different people. Need to change directions to use the demo of the Pro version, not the demo since it doesn't include features other people needed to write about.

Installation and setup sections need more detail and explination.
http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/933#comments Project Log Mon, 27 Apr 2009 19:48:58 +0000 jbombard 933 at http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1 Individual Work Blog: Weeks 1 and 2 http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/932
Week 1: Decided on idea, downloaded and experimented with the DVDFab program.

Week 2: Wrote my part of the documentation, included lots of screenshots and pictures so even the most basic user could figure it out.
http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/932#comments Project Log Mon, 27 Apr 2009 19:47:34 +0000 jbombard 932 at http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1 Individual Work Blog Week 5 http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/725
Finished making final revisions to the paper based on peer reviews. However, many job seekers I have spoken with at Purdue report many strange people, most older than college age, trying to friend them on Facebook after they visited job fairs or sent resumes in on CCO.

I believe some companies may not be entirely honest with me on this subject, and might not want to disclose the information they use to determine who to hire.
http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/599#comments Project Log Mon, 09 Mar 2009 19:26:23 +0000 jbombard 599 at http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1 Individual Work Blog Week 2 http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/536
Today I emailed the human resources department of different companies around Lafayette, asking about their use of Facebook for screening potential employees, and how much effect what they find on there has on their decision to hire those people.
http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/536#comments Project Log Mon, 02 Mar 2009 15:46:14 +0000 jbombard 536 at http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1 FACEBOOK GROUP: Meeting 2 http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/478
Meeting Time: In Class, Wednesday 2/25/09.

Attendees: John, Catherine, and Kristin.

Meeting Goal: Write informal project planning memo of understanding.

Topics Discussed: Dividing up duties for research and composition of the white paper project.

http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/478#comments Project Log Wed, 25 Feb 2009 21:19:59 +0000 jbombard 478 at http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1 FACEBOOK GROUP: Meeting 1 http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/450
Meeting Time: In Class, Friday 2/20/09.

Attendees: John and Catherine.

Meeting Goal: Finish Writing Proposal Memo.

Topics Discussed: What to include for the conclusion of the Proposal Memo.

http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/450#comments Project Log Fri, 20 Feb 2009 21:02:32 +0000 jbombard 450 at http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1 Topic Proposal: Facebook http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/396 It is a common problem for people who post pictures and materials on Facebook to not realize how many people really have access to this information. One major downside to posting things on Facebook is its use by prospective employers or recruiters to obtain data on prospective employees or interns who are just leaving or currently in college. Most college students post items to Facebook, or even have images of them tagged by others, without the knowledge of who is really able to see those things.
http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1/node/396#comments Mon, 16 Feb 2009 21:08:04 +0000 jbombard 396 at http://www.digitalparlor.org/sp09/kerns1
