Dear Sir or Madam:

I. Introduction

a. I found your advertisement for an Assurance and Advisory Business services internship in the Center  for Careers and Occupations website through Purdue University.

b. I am very interested in this position and would like to talk with you about it. If the position is still available my resume may be of interest to you.

My experience as a team member of Purdue Crew has given me the ability to work in a team environment and be a cohesive member of a team. I also had the opportunity to be a senator for the Purdue student Senate where I was on the internal and audit committee as a representative.

III. It would be a pleasure to meet with you to discuss my background and skills to find if I would be a good fit with the rquirements for this position. I hope that I would be able to make a contribution to your Ernst and Young organization. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Closure,

Sincerely,

Eric J. Koestner

This isn't the outline I

This isn't the outline I asked for in the assignment because it wasn't broken down enough; I need subpoints, not just paragraphs - remember, I didn't want a copy of the cover letter on the blog. There is some good detail here, but watch out for typos, comma errors, and repetitive phrasing. I also think you could flesh out the body more with specifics about your experience.
