Project#3 Individual #5

After our meeting last week for the final project, we finished the final copy a few days ago. I fixed the text and lined up the graphics. Once again, everything was made as uniform as possible. I actually attempted to do the video capture but was unsuccessful in using Camstudio. Unfortunatly, no extra credit for us! I had most of it completed in video format with titles and slides (frames) added, but for some reason the rendered video was too blurry, I cannot present this to Dr. Kerns. The PDF was sent to Dr. Kerns and now we wait for our grades!

All the members of our group met in ENAD to finalize the documentation and to work on the appendix. We analyzed the results to and then put them in table form. All the comments were considered for imporvements for the final draft of the user documentation. The level of confidence and times were averaged for the numbers for overall data. For the tutorial final draft, we made sure everything was overall uniform, such as sizes, indentations of the steps, font, and screen captures. We plan on adding the final touches and then turn in the surveys and turn the document itself into a PDF.

All the members of our group were present for this meeting. We reserved Matthew 301, an iTap lab from 6:30 to 7:30 pm for our group user study. We had the participants sign onto the computer while they filled out a pre-survey. We timed the individual participants while they were doing the task. Earlier today, we made final changes to the rough draft in accordance to feedback from the Professor and the peer reviews. We are going to take the gathered surveys and review the results for imporvements of the final draft

All the members of our group met after class to finalize the rough draft. We followed the suggestions to make the documentation more general. The user is able to follow our steps and use their own keywords so they can be more familier with the system and not be restricted to our keywords. A title page was added, and turned into PDF.m

I added my part (task 1) to the user documentation rough draft. Reserved a room for the user studies for next week. Will plan to add notes to the rough draft for clearification.

All the members of our group met to work on the storyboard on monday. We divided up the "sections" of the library website, including the articles, eJournals, and database tabs. All the screen shots were completed and red arrows or circles were added to show the places to click. An article about the history of American photography was choosen as an example for the search. We prepared the powerpoint to present on wednesday. At this point, we are well on our way to completing the actual tutorial.
