I.                    The  Job

A.      Found advertisement of the job on Purdue University’s Career Center for Opportunities job listing web site

B.      Noted that GE was looking for undergraduate students in engineering related fields to fill the internship and CO-OP opportunities that they had available.

C.      Very interested in the opportunity to work for such a globally diverse company as GE and feel that an internship would have me continue my education

II.                  Education

A.      Currently and senior in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Purdue University.

B.      The work ethic instilled in me by working at a family business and at school have helped become who I am today

C.      I have taken classes that taught the different processes of manufacturing including the cold forming and hot forming of metals and composites.

D.      Have learned many different software packages including CAD packages such as Catia and IronCAD solid modeling programs.

E.       Worked at a family business that taught me how to work well with others and kept me very organized.

F.       Hobbies include racing and working on cars giving a great knowledge on how internal combustion engines work and operate.

III.                Conclusion

A.      Would greatly appreciate meeting and about the different opportunities available within the company.
