Topic Proposal: Image Downloads

Image downloads are exceedingly hard to control and retain copyright privileges for.  There are many cases wherein owners of specific images have made it impossible to edit: copy and image, however there are ways to "drag" that image off despite that code.  Furthermore, there is the issue of Google: images which allows people to draw up images and input them into their work; rarely citing the source.  Finally, there is the issue of a lack of enforcement for images in comparison to the written word, but if “a picture is worth a thousand words”, why is it not protected more?  Rarely does one see a case in which references for images are enforced for smaller works (i.e. school reports).  In short, I find there not only to be multiple ways to “steal” and image, with the only true solution to protecting one’s image being to upload it with something along the lines of “proof” written across the entire image (thereby ruining it); but on top of that there appears to be little desire to even fix the problem.
