Documentation StarCraft Individual 5

We did not need to meet this week.  There was only a little left to add to the usability report.  We seem to be having problems with the screen capture video, so the extra video might be scrapped.

Documentation StarCraft Individual 4

This week we did the usability testing.  I had two participants follow the documentation.  Both have had prior experience with the game so they had no problem following our documentation.  Today I helped write the usability report, we will finish later next week as we could only meet for a little while.

Documentation StarCraft Individual 3

Rough draft was written and the group that did our peer review gave us some good advice.  Today we wrote the questionnaires for the usability testing and will begin the testing this week.

Documentation StarCraft Individual 2

Our group did a good job on the storyboard presentation eventhough John was the only person to talk.  He knows more about the game than the rest of us, and I wish I could contribute more.  We have started writing the rough draft, and will begin usability testing next week.

Documentation StarCraft Individual 1

This week we wrote up the proposal for our documentation project.  I helped think of the topic and helped write the memo.  I am planning on researching current documentation on the subject and creating a data sheet for the usability test.

Censorship Individual: Blog 4

Finished up all of the requirements, and handed them in.  The presentation handout was harder to write than we thought. We had to fit a lt of information on to one page.  We will be presenting on Wednesday, and I will be talking about the methods of blocking and the current methods of circumvention.

Censorship Individual: Blog 3

The week before Spring Break, I wrote a summary of my research and our group began compiling our rough draft.  I have found a few articles to be very helpful and found writing the summary to be very easy.

Censorship Individual: Blog 2

This week I researched all about the different ways to censor the internet.  As it turns out, there is a lot of information on this subject, especially the ways China uses.  My portion of the report is due on Monday and I plan to start writing on Friday in class if there is time.

Censorship Individual: Blog 1

For the white paper project I have aided in writing the topic proposal and the planning guide.  I will be researching the criteria and methods that China uses to block websites. After a discussion with Prof. Kerns, we have decided not to write to the Chinese government directly, but to a group that focuses on internet censorship called Amnesty International.  I think this will work to our advantage because the Chinese government won't listen to a bunch of students from the US.  However, an organization that focuses on this type of work might yield better results.

Topic Proposal: Incorrect information on Wiki sites

Wikipedia is one of my favorite places to search for information.  It has topics on everything imaginable.  However, the articles on Wikipedia are written by average people, and just about anyone can edit them.  Spamming and destroying articles with profanity and other graffiti are a big problem, but the biggest problem is incorrect information.
