Project 3: Individual Blog 4

Our group has finished our usability testing.  Our documentation has been edited.  I have written the first part of our usability report (background).  All that is left is the analysis of the usability test.  The only problems we found were that we needed to explain better how to apply the nail polish.

We have completed our documentation. I have found 3 people to participate in the usability test, which I'll do this weekend.  I've written up the pre- and post-test surveys.

My group created our story board this week. We have decided on the time and place of our usability test.  I am doing a little more research so that we can finish our rough draft of the user documentation, which will be done this week.  We will also start work on our survey questions for the usability test.

My group decided on a topic for our documenttaion: how to give a self-manicure.  We wrote our memo and made our gantt chart. I have been researching our topic and finding pictures that we can using in our documentation.  We are ready to create our storyboard.

This week I finished up writing my section of the white paper.  Our group has put together are paper and is in the process of finalizing everything.  Now, I'm preparing for my part of the presentation and powerpoint for next week.

I have finished most of my research on Facebook's privacy.  I have started to wirte my section of the discussion for the white paper, which will be about Facebook's attempt to solve this problem using privacy settings on users' profiles.  I have also taken the responsibility of writing the conclusion.

I have continued to do research about the usage of facebook and privacy settings.  I found several informative articles on Purdue's databases.  Much of my research has shown that between 40 and 50% of employers are using facebook to screen employees.  Some are questioning the ethics of this and whether this violates the privacy of facebook users who are potential employees.

This week I contributed to my group by helping in the writing and organization of the scope of work memo and timeline.  I volunteered to research the topic of Facebook's privacy settings.  I have found one article about the Facebook user's lack of use of privacy settings.  The security company Sophos found that 75% of Facebook's users allow any other user to view their profile, whether they are "friends" or not.  Another article, from CBS News' site, describes how often employers look at the Facebook pages of potential employees and how it does effect whether or not that
