              I.                Introduction:

A.                  Junior at Purdue University, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Expected graduation: May 2010.

B.                  Looking for an opportunity to join HP SPS printing division in order to design and develop the next generation of HP’s high quality and high speed printing solutions to meet the needs of HP’s partners

C.                  Would contribute significantly to your team due to my  in depth knowledge of HP’s product lines, philosophy, environment, through my work experiences for the past two years as intern in San Diego Inkjet division.

            II.                Past Experience:

A.                  Worked in San Diego Inkjet division in summer of 2008 as returning intern. Investigated and delivered a process to find the length of contact between a polyurethane roller with a metal core and a metal roller both statically and dynamically.  Worked closely with several Engineering units to define and develop specification as well as developing and executing test cases and presented the study to a team of 100 engineers and senior management at HP. Patent pending.

B.                  In summer of 2007 worked as an intern for HP, inkjet division and developed and delivered a detailed documentation of failure analysis on printing press machines. Partnered with the local and international technicians and engineers to produce and publish a well documented and testable grading scale of product.  Conducted daily meetings to review the process and enhance the resulting documentation. Documentation is in use internationally for tracking such defects.

           III.                Other related qualifications

A.                  Excellent communicator:  Collaborative style, expert in developing detail documentation, meeting facilitation, and delivering presentations. 

B.                  Creativity/Analytical skill:  My education in Mechanical Engineering has been instrumental in developing my analytical skills. I have demonstrated creativity in my approach to problem resolution.  As an example, the result of my second year summer internship is pending patent by HP San Diego Inkjet division. 

C.                  I received outstanding performance rating from my HP management and mentors for the past two internships at HP for high quality, perseverance and achieving my goals.

 

V. Conclusion

A.
