Entry Four

This week we administered the usability test and processed the results. I was responsible for putting together the rough draft of the report on the results and on the usability test itself.

Entry Three

I was responsible for editing images that were used in the documentation, as well as typing up the observation sheets that will be used during the usability test on Monday.

This week I was responsible for the final compilation of the proposal memo. I will also be responsible for the proofing and editing of the powerpoint slide for the upcoming presentation.

Entry Four

During this week I turned in my portion of the rough draft, and after the peer review, performed substantial revisions on the white paper. I will be working together with Aaron to develop the powerpoint presentation and the associated handout.

I turned in the sources I was responsible for on time at the group meeting on Friday. Although it can be argued that some of these sources are somewhat dated, I would counter that the ideas and principles presented are still sound even if the specific implimentation is not In the context of this white paper, specifics as to the particular implimentation of our solutions will have to be fleshed out as pertaining to Purdue's theoretical wiki anyway. Those sources are as follows:

Entry 2

At the meeting on Wednesday of this week, I was responsible for the layout of the Understanding memo, as well as putting the finishing touches on the content. I have been assigned the "Open Registration" portion of the white paper, as opposed to the "Anonymous Posting" or "Restricted Registration" portions.

Entry 1

I am a member of the Wiki group. We are focusing on the issue of content control and validation. This particular week we are turning in our Topic Proposal Memo. I was personally responsible for the layout and formatting of the memo, as well as the actual typing and delivery of the memo.

The web filters used in schools, both public and private, that handle grades K-12 in the United States are not only deficient in performing their function of blocking "bad" sites and allowing "good" sites, but also in their basic underlying purpose: making students safer.

For the past few semesters, I have been a Visual Artist for the Purdue Review, a monthly paper on campus. My duties and responsibilities include image processing, visual content production, layout, and article proofing. In addition, I have to work with a large and disparate staff of writers, editors, and other positions.
