This week our group continued to do more research for our project.  We attempted to contact different employees from MySpace and Perverted-Justice.com to get more of an insider's input on our proposition to the two companies.  We have begun to think in-depth about how we are going to propose to implement our strategy.  We also met at the library to begin writing and talked in class about everyone's individual work.

Week one of project 3 and we've decided to go with Siranjani's solution of splitting Facebook into professional and Social as well as use some aspects of the other solutions. We have assigned jobs and made our gant chart and memo. I am responsible for finding cost and timetables as well as for the executive summar. This week we will be researching and sharing information

There are three subjects I am in charge of researching for this project. These are: Technical Staff available or needed for the completion of the project, the capital accumulation which includes donations, and competitor websites. Today I researched some of the internet watchdogs that carry out similar functions to perverted-justice.com

Today we met to discuss the progress of our project thus far and share the research we have collected individually.  We plan to conduct a survey in the next couple of days that will be distributed at the end of this week.  This is going to benefit our project and support our solution of having parents involved with their childrens online profiles.  We also came up with questions that we have for Dr. Kerns before we continue on with our research.  We are planning to meet again at the end of this week and create a detailed outline that will assist us while we start to write our rough draft. 

This week, we mainly spent time on getting the project guidelines out. Aided group members in researching their parts. All members provided their veiews on how to approach the task at hand. We decided on some meeting times, and how to be more efficient in our meetings.

I first read the requirements of the paper, and performed research, since member of the group and I needed a detailed understanding of our solution. I then relayed what I learned from my research to my teammates, so that they could conduct their own research.

This week we worked on researching financial and development information in order to help come up with estimates for the recommendation paper.  I attended the meeting and help find the financial information from Blizzard from the Mergent website.  I also did this week’s write-ups as well.  I spent approximately 3 hours researching information and another half hour working on the write-up.

The goal of the meeting was to organize our research and see what other aspects needed to be looked into for the recommendation project.

We looked through the research each one of us had done prior to the meeting.  We also found financial records for Blizzard as well as tried to find more information on how much the cost of program alteration would be.

For our next meeting we plan to meet Monday November 17, 2008 after class to work on more research findings.

I have helped to create the memo as well as the gantt chart due earlier this week.  I have also began researching the costs of an alternative shipping option.  I have met with my group to figure out what resposibilities we need to divide up since we may not have a fourth member any longer.   

To start off the project I decided that I would write the group blogs so everyone else could spend more time on research for the report.  On Sunday we were able to meet up and create our gant chart.  I am responsible for explainin why our solution works in detail and why it is superior to others.  I am also responsible for one of the visuals in the report.  After our meeting I wrote the Plan of Action Memo for Monday.

For next week we plan on meeting on Sunday to go over more in our solution.

We started off the week trying to figure out which solution we should use from our white paper.  After much deliberation we decided to choose Siranjani section which was dividing Facebook into two different sections; a social Facebook and a more professional Facebook.  We felt this was the most feasible solution compared to the other ones we discussed. 

At our meeting on Sunday we went over who was going to do what with the Recommendation repory.  That helped us create our gant chart.  We are planning to meet this Sunday to go over some ideas with the report and also go over our graded white paper to see what we need to work on.
